ASICS rightfully brags that the Nimbus has become the shoe to which all high-mileage neutral trainers aspire. After you get past the hefty weight and the fact that the loop-style eyelets make custom lacing impossible, only positives remain. Although soft can tend towards flimsy and protective towards firm, wear-testers were universal in their praise for the Nimbus’ ability to be both soft and protective at the same time. Such comments are a direct result of the Nimbus’ liberal use of ASICS’ best materials in its outersole, midsole and upper. The $120 price tag is justified.
